8. Business Resilience of The Year – (Covid)

This award aims to recognise the entity that showed resilience, agility and adaptability in 2020 during the COVID pandemic. The entity will have survived and may even have thrived during this period, kept staff employed or paid, fulfilled client obligations and where possible, completed projects.

Who is eligible to enter this category?

o Any company in the metals and engineering sector

Entries will be adjudicated based on the submission of the following supporting

documentation:

  1. The nomination may be made by an employee, industry colleague, client or the individual themselves. Where nominated, the nominee must agree to the nomination in writing.
  2. Provide valid BBBEE certificate.
  3. Clearly detail the entity’s achievements during 2020-2021
  4. Clearly detail the entity’s projects or contracts, awarded and completed during 2020-2021
  5. Clearly detail the entity’s staff retention during 2020-2021
  6. Describe the highlights and challenges of 2020-2021 for the entity.
  7. Provide a 100-word executive summary of the entry for publication and presentation use.
  8. Provide evidence that the company overcame and survived these challenges, describe the challenge and how they overcame them.
  9. Nominees must be able to make themselves available to be interviewed by the judges.
