Failure to comply with the requirements of the POPI Act could have dire consequences for businesses. But companies should not fall into the trap of implementing the act’s requirements just for compliance’s sake. The exercise should be seen as an opportunity to identify, clean up and manage information better, thus improving business processes.
This workshop will help participants understand the impact of the POPI Act on their businesses while providing them with the knowledge needed to effectively comply with it.
What you will learn
- The POPIA framework and the eight conditions of processing;
- How POPIA will affect the manner in which your business processes information;
- How to avoid common non-compliance pitfalls;
- Practical Guidance on how to comply with POPIA
