About the training
Taking corrective or disciplinary action against errant employees is an important skill for managers or supervisors.
This training will help participants understand this process. It will provide an overview of the Code of Good Practice and its objectives, covering topics such as the issuing of warnings, dismissals and requirements for a fair hearing.
It will also provide guidelines for dealing with poor performance, incapacity, probation and unprotected industrial action.
The presenter
Michael Lavender is SEIFA’s Industrial Relations Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree majoring in Industrial Psychology and Economics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, formerly the University of Natal. He has extensive knowledge and experience in labour law and industrial relations.
