Kaizer M. Nyatsumba, Cert Dir (IoDSA)
Chief Executive Officer
Kaizer Nyatsumba joined SEIFSA on 1 November 2013 as Chief Executive Officer. He has previously worked as Managing Director of KMN Consulting, Vice-President: Corporate Affairs and Shared Services at PetroSA, Group General Manager: Corporate Affairs, Marketing and BEE at Sasol Limited, Public Affairs and Communications Director at Coca-Cola South Africa, as well as Head: Corporate Marketing and Vice-President: Corporate Affairs at Anglo American South Africa. An author and previously a journalist, Nyatsumba has also worked as Political Editor and Executive Editor of The Star, Deputy Editor of The Mercury, founding Editor of The Independent on Saturday, Editor of the Daily News (the last three titles in Durban) and Associate Editor of The Independent in London.
A Certified Director (IoDSA), Nyatsumba holds an MBA from the University of Hull, a BA Honours degree from Georgetown University in Washington DC, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand, an Advanced Management Diploma from the University of Pretoria’s Gordon’s Institute of Business Science, a Leadership Development Diploma from the Harvard Business School in Boston and a Diploma in Journalism from the Newspaper Institute of America in New York.
Nyatsumba has served on the Boards of the 2010 (World Cup) Big Company, the Anglo American Chairman’s Fund, the Anglo American Medical Aid Scheme, Business Against Crime, National Business Initiative, Tourism Business Council of South Africa and on the Council of the University of Zululand.
Operations Director, SEIFSA
Lucio Trentini joined SEIFSA in 1990 as an Industrial Relations Advisor. Over the last two decades, he has been involved at management and executive level at SEIFSA and has been actively involved in the leadership of the federation.
A key member of the metal and engineering industry wage negotiating team, Trentini is a member of the CCMA Governing Body as well as the Nedlac Labour Market Chamber.
He holds a BA in Economic History and Industrial Psychology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of the Witwatersrand and the Graduate School of Business Administration respectively. He also holds an Expert Negotiator Certificate issued by the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS).
Chief Financal Officer
Rajendra Rajcoomar joined SEIFSA in May 2014 as a Chief Financial Officer. He has previously worked as Financial Manager for DPI Plastics, Chief Financial Officer at the FoodBev SETA, Financial Manager at Phambili Wasteman and Financial Accountant at Unitrans Freight.
Rajcoomar holds a B.Com in Accounting and Auditing from the University of Durban-Westville, a B.Com Honours in Business Management from the University of South Africa, a Higher Diploma in Tax Law from the Rand Afrikaans University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting Science from the University of South Africa and an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand.
Industrial Relations and Legal Services Executive and Company Secretary
Bridgette Mphuthi joined SEIFSA in April 2014 as a Legal Executive and Company Secretary. She has previously worked as Corporate Services Manager at the Construction Education and Training Authority, HR Manager: Legal Compliance at Fraser Alexander Bulk Mech and as an Associate and a Senior Associate at Brink Cohen Le Roux Inc.
Mphuthi holds an LLB degree from the University Johannesburg and has finished her course work for an LLM at the University of South Africa.
Economics and Commercial Executive and Senior Economist
Tafadzwa (Taffie) Chibanguza joined SEIFSA in January 2013 as an Economist within SEIFSA’s Economics and Commercial Division. During his time at SEIFSA he has focused on price economics, international trade and supporting the industrial policy research. Prior to his role at SEIFSA Tafadzwa worked at RMB Private Bank in the Ultra High Net Worth Wealth Management Unit as a Technical Wealth and Investment analyst.
He holds a Bcom Economics and Econometrics degree from the University of Johannesburg, a Bcom (Honours) Degree in Economic Policy from the University of Witwatersrand, and a Master of Commerce Degree in Economic Policy from the University of Witwatersrand.
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Executive
Nonhlalo Mphofu joined SEIFSA in 2009 as a Health and Safety Manager. She has ten years working experience in occupational health, safety, environment and quality. She has previously worked at QK Meats South Africa and Coca Cola Shanduka Beverages.
Mphofu holds a BTech degree in Environmental Health Sciences from the University of Johannesburg.
She was appointed Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Executive in 2013.
Human Capital and Skills Development Executive
Melanie Mulholland is the Human Capital and Skills Development Executive at SEIFSA. She is an extremely motivated and dedicated human capital and skills development professional with more than 20 years’ experience in training and development. She is a results-driven individual with a proven record of consistently delivering service excellence and assured quality, within deadlines and budgets.
She uses strong communication and facilitation skills to establish excellent working relationships with clients, stakeholders and colleagues at all levels. She has extensive skills development experience, having worked at BANKSETA for eight years.
Melanie actively pursues opportunities to gain new skills and experience, having graduated with a BA Degree in Human and Social Sciences. She also holds a higher certificate - Leadership Development Programme from GIBS and numerous professional training courses qualifications.
